Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty)

An excess of skin of the upper eyelid may lead to obstruction of the visual field (overhanging eyelids), and a tired look.

This can be improved by removing the excess skin, and repositioning the deeper fat compartments. Both the upper and lower eyelids can be corrected.

A blepharoplasty results in a fresher, younger look, with scars that in most cases are almost invisible and well concealed.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, takes an hour to perform and is done in day clinic.

During your consultation your surgeon will discuss with you the technical options and the possible adjunctive procedures. Your surgeon will guide you in your choice. He will also discuss with you the possible discomforts and complications.
